Thyroid ultrasound

A painless, non-invasive imaging procedure that uses high frequency inaudible sound waves to examine the neck. A plastic probe sweeps the surface of the skin to scan the thyroid gland — the same technique used in pregnancy ultrasound.

Thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsy

A thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA) removes a small sample of tissue from the thyroid gland through a small, hollow needle, and the sample is sent to the lab for analysis. It is a simple process with no downtime — patients return to normal activity immediately following the procedure.

Molecular tests

To diminish the need for diagnostic surgery, we offer a state-of-the-art method to test the genetic profiles of thyroid nodules in an office setting.

Afirma

A gene expression classifier (GEC) that uses a microarray to identify patterns of gene expression. These gene patterns are better at ruling thyroid cancer out of an indeterminate nodule than at confirming it.

ThyroSeq

A next-generation sequencing (NGS) test that analyzes the DNA of thyroid cells to identify genetic mutations associated with thyroid cancer.

Using the Libre mobile app:

  1. Open your Libre mobile app.
  2. Tap the three lines at the top to open the Settings menu.
  3. Select Connected Apps from the menu.
  4. In the LibreView section, choose Connect.
  5. Type our room code bellevue endocrine consultants
  6. Tap Accept at the bottom of the screen.

Using the LibreView website in a web browser:

  1. When logged in to your LibreView account, click at the top right corner.
  2. Open Account Settings.
  3. Click the tab My practices.
  4. In the “Link to a practice” box type bellevue endocrine consultants then click Add.

This links your Libre account to our clinic’s LibreView account.
